A Jovi Jot is when you jot down a few ideas about a given theme.
The rules are simple:
1. About every 2 weeks new writing will be posted to get your creative juices flowing. We'd like submissions to be completed in that time - but not necessarily required if you get so inspired to write a whole story we'll take it2. There are no word count requirements. Write a scene, write a few pages, write an entire fic. We're just hoping you'll write and we'll have more juicy Jovi stuff to read.3. When you have completed your jot, you can email it to Carol at blushnscarlet@gmail.com, so we'll have all of them in one place. You can even write anonymously if you want. On your submission just title it Jovi Jot and at the top try to include something like Week of July 1 prompt 2 or something for organization of stories. Also clearly state if you want it posted with your name or not.4. Winners....in the past we would somehow vote on a winner I can't remember how that went and we don't like the idea - so in this world - we are all winners - really it's true though - you win by pushing yourself to write, enhance or develop a skill set and we win by having something new to read.
The Prompts:
- What do you get a rockstar that's turning 60? Dave and Jon need gifts to speak to that milestone.
- Your favorite member of the band gets a furry friend dropped off to watch for the week.
- You have an audience with the writers of some of your favorite songs ever ask them/him about a few - what's the real story - and what does it mean to them/him now?
- Uh Oh your favorite rockstar has to go to the Dr. But it's new Dr and what is he going for? How does that appointment play out?
- How is the 4th of July celebrated around Jovi Land? Pick one or all of the guys and tell us a story.
- One of the guys has a guilty pleasure-feel free to go in whichever direction you want - naughty or nice -Handcuffs or bubble baths - the options are endless.
